Mardi and Neil's Charming Cottage Wedding

Tent weddings can be the most challenging types of weddings to plan - but also the most rewarding, especially when the couple is as sweet as Mardi and Neil. I'll admit, the week of their wedding I was glued to the weather forecast - I was checking every weather app I could find on a constant rotation. It wasn't looking good . . . rain rain and then some more rain. But a few days before the wedding, the sun gods decided to come to our side and it ended up being the MOST glorious day.

The clear top tent was the sure way to go for Mardi and Neil (since Mardi's family cottage was in a more shaded plot of land). A white crisp floor amped up the elegant factor and as the sun set and night took over, a full ceiling of twinkle lights emerged. It was a sight to see.

Mardi was definitely the gal who had dreamt of her wedding for many many years. She and he dad (who was SUCH a huge help with the wedding, I may just need to offer him a job) had looked out onto their lake many summer nights at their cottage planning up what her wedding day would be like. Probably one the greatest compliments I have ever received in my time as a planner was hearing that the day exceeded their expectations. To me, this is why I do what I do.
