Jill & Ian's Storys Wedding
Jill and Ian's wedding definitely holds a fond place in my heart. Not only do we share a love of a minimal ethereal vibe - but they are also just the sweetest couple around. When helping the couple design their wedding, it was clear they had exceptional taste. They wanted their wedding to feel welcoming, modern, intimate, warm, and romantic. Flowers were an important focal element of the wedding and Sweet Woodruff was the perfect match to compliment their natural and organic vibe. We incorporated light peach, blush and apricots tones to warm up the chic industrial space. Stone and ceramic containers carried through the natural vibe, as well as pops of fruit added an unexpected element to the tablescape.
We kept the place settings neutral and clean with ceramic white chargers, gold rimmed delicate glassware, and matte gold cutlery from Plate Occasions. Finding the right linen for the space was key; we kept it simple and organic by including textured white linens and chiffon dusty blue runners from The Linen Closet.
It was truly a magical evening. My favourite moment was when Ian surprised Jill with a pre-recorded original song he had composed for their first dance. Seriously there wasn't a dry eye in the house. Their celebration was joyful and personal and Nikki Mills captured the day with perfection. I am so happy to share a snippet from their day with you.
