Ravine Winery Wedding
When I first chatted with Sara and Ryan, I knew their wedding was going to be a beautiful celebration. Not only are they one darn good-looking couple, but their style was totally in line with what Blush + Bowties does best: charming and whimsical weddings with a touch of rusticity.
The Niagara region is one of my favourite places to visit in Ontario. The endless vineyards, quaint towns, and picturesque vistas have made it a prime location for weddings. When we started searching for Sara and Ryan’s venue, we seemed to keep circling back to Ravine Winery, one of Niagara's best wedding venues and wineries. Sure enough, Ravine turned out to be the perfect location for this lovely couple’s wedding.
When dreaming up their vision, we wanted the wedding to have a rustic chic vibe with a mix of romantic, organic florals but grounded with earthy masculine elements. For their ceremony, we brought in the organic lush feel with an incredible garland and hand tied eucalyptus on the chairs. Raw wooden accents were included in elements such as the vineyard chairs, crates and chalkboards. One of the most spectacular elements of their ceremony was the wooden canopy onsite that was transformed into their chuppah with the help of Simply Beautiful Decor.
The bridal party’s wedding attire was totally spot on with the whole vibe of the wedding. Sara’s chantilly lace gown was designed by Anais Anette and her bridesmaids wore Amsale chiffon gowns in a variety of colours. The men wore dapper tuxedos and bowties in different shades, which perfectly complimented the bridesmaids mismatched yet cohesive look.
Guests enjoyed cocktails and ping pong on the lawn as the sun began to set on the beautiful summer day. Dinner and dancing took place under the tent onsite which looked out onto a vineyard vista. The tablescape was an absolute wildflower dream. Jen Pogue, the talented florist, scattered blooms down the harvest tables utilizing Blush + Bowties’ antique jars. Some details included a custom frame seating chart with tags, kraft placecards and menus, and wooden chalk table numbers.
Guests didn’t stop dancing from the moment they hit the floor till the musical portion of the evening came to a close. But the party didn’t stop there; guests were invited down to a roaring bonfire under the stars with s'mores’. Sara and Ryan’s wedding was all about family and joy. It was very special for me to help plan such a love filled occasion in one of the most beautiful spots in Canada with one of the kindest couples I have come across. Also HUGE shout out to Danijela for these insanely beautiful photos.
Congrats Sara and Ryan!!
